Intro/ free will filter

The purpose of this blog is stated in the title. What should not be assumed is that God would be helpless without people defending Him. Before I begin shaking traditional foundations I need to affirm a truth that most of my readers will likely be familiar with and accept: God is in complete control. We have coined special God terms like “sovereignty” and “all knowing” and pounded them deep into our theology. And for good reason. God has gone to great lengths to tell/show us that He controls everything. This basic foundation leaves no room for the destructive dream of free will. At best we are to live in the perspective of free will. In reality this doctrine sets God up to be surprised by our daily decisions as He spends His time “putting out fires” made by us pots of clay.

I would like to request that anyone who does not agree with this to not read any further beyond this paragraph until you read Romans 8:20, Romans 9, Ephesians 1:11-12, Isaiah 14:27, Romans 11:8, Proverbs 16:4, Luke 19:43, Romans 11:32, Proverbs 16:33, Proverbs 20:24, Job 3:19, Isaiah 10:15, Daniel 4:35, Colossians 1:1, in the context of the entire Bible.  Those who still wish to discuss (God)free will please first reconcile the above references.

As I begin writing these letters I need to give credit to my source material. It would be wrong of me to call it “the Bible” as this has been tainted by religious translators. One might argue that God kept His word pure. There is no denying God is capable of keeping His word entirely pure through all translations. He was also capable of keeping Adam from sinning, but as history points out, this is not His plan. Consequently, I will be using scripture to prove scripture through the use of concordances and literal translations. The King James version will be used as the default for quotes as it handles the Greek and Hebrew relatively well. Ultimately, I, as clay, will endeavor to reveal the Potter as unbiased as possible.
